The American College of Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons (ACPPS) hosted a state-of-the-art MIS cadaver lab this past weekend, providing participants with an exclusive learning experience. The intimate setting, featuring a 1-to-3 student-to-teacher ratio and dedicated cadavers for each participant, facilitated in-depth exploration and personalized instruction.

    Unparalleled Access & Live Procedure:

This unique MIS cadaver lab offered a significant advantage over traditional experiences, providing each participant with their own cadaver specimen. This unparalleled level of access allowed for a deeper understanding of MIS and facilitated a more hands-on learning environment. The event culminated in a live MIS procedure, further solidifying the theoretical knowledge gained throughout the program.

Feedback from attendees highlighted the positive impact of the cadaver lab on their professional development and confidence in performing MIS procedures. They appreciated the opportunity to refine their surgical skills in a realistic setting with personalized instruction.

    Commitment to Continued Education:

The success of this and previous  cadaver labs reinforces the American College of Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons'  commitment to delivering innovative and high-quality educational experiences for Podiatric Physicians. Building on this momentum, ACPPS is already planning multiple future events to address the growing demand for advanced MIS training.

The next event is scheduled for September 27-28, 2024, and will include an optional practice management session on Friday, September 27th.

    Chicago, IL - November 13th, 2023

In a groundbreaking initiative, the American College of Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons (ACPPS) hosted its first-ever cadaver lab this past weekend in Chicago, providing podiatric physicians with a unique and invaluable learning experience. The event received resounding praise from participants, who had the opportunity for hands-on exploration and personalized instruction.

The cadaver lab, held at Advanced Ambulatory Surgical Center in Chicago, marked a milestone in minimally invasive surgery (MIS) education. Each participating physician had the privilege of working with their own cadaver, allowing for an unparalleled level of engagement and a deeper understanding of podiatric anatomy.

Dr. Miltchin, expressed enthusiasm about the success of the event. "The cadaver lab provided an exceptional platform for our podiatric physicians to enhance their skills and knowledge with MIS. The one-on-one teaching approach allowed for a tailored educational experience, fostering a deeper appreciation for anatomical structures and MIS techniques."

Participants engaged in a series of interactive sessions, gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced ACPPS instructors. The lab facilitated an open exchange of ideas, furthering collaboration and networking within the podiatric community.

Feedback from attendees highlighted the positive impact of the cadaver lab on their professional development and confidence in implementing MSI in their practice.

The success of the inaugural cadaver lab underscores the commitment of ACPPS to advancing the field of podiatric medicine through innovative and hands-on educational opportunities. Plans are already underway for future events and expansions to accommodate growing interest.
